Manchester, Apr 2: Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has brushed aside speculation surrounding Bruno Fernandes’ potential exit from the club, labelling the rumours as “baseless and misleading.”
Reports had recently emerged suggesting that Fernandes, who has been a pivotal figure for the Red Devils, was considering a move away from Old Trafford amid interest from several top European clubs. However, Amorim was quick to dismiss the claims during a press conference ahead of United’s weekend Premier League fixture.

“There is absolutely no truth to those rumours. Bruno is a key player for us, and he remains fully committed to Manchester United. His dedication on and off the pitch speaks for itself,” Amorim said.
The Portuguese midfielder, known for his playmaking ability and leadership qualities, has been a standout performer since joining Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in 2020. With several match-winning performances under his belt, Fernandes has cemented his place as a fan favorite and a crucial part of Amorim’s plans.
“Bruno is happy here. We are building something special, and he is an integral part of that journey. Speculation will always exist, but his focus is solely on contributing to the team’s success,” Amorim added.
Amorim’s remarks come amid a broader effort by Manchester United’s management to quell any uncertainty surrounding their star players as they push for a top-four finish in the Premier League.
Fernandes has also been vocal about his commitment to the club in recent interviews, reiterating his desire to win silverware with Manchester United.
