Bengaluru, Mar 14: The Karnataka BJP has raised serious concerns over the sale of spurious drugs in the market and urged the state government to take immediate action against those involved in the distribution of counterfeit medicines.

Party leaders highlighted the growing menace of fake and substandard drugs, warning that such practices pose a severe threat to public health. Calling for stringent measures, they demanded a thorough investigation and strict enforcement of drug regulations to curb the circulation of illicit medicines.

Speaking to reporters, BJP leaders criticized the authorities for lax enforcement and emphasized the need for better monitoring of pharmaceutical supplies across the state. They urged officials to conduct regular inspections and take strict action against violators to ensure public safety.

Meanwhile, health experts have also voiced concerns, urging authorities to implement stronger quality control measures to prevent the sale of fake medicines in medical stores and wholesale markets.
