Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda, Manipal inaugurates osteoarthritis & backache medical camp

Udupi, Mar 14: The department of Kayachikitsa and Shalyatantra at Muniyal Institute of Ayurveda Medical Sciences, Manipal, has launched a specialized medical camp to provide diagnosis and treatment for osteoarthritis and backache disorders.

The camp, which runs from March 14 to March 29, will offer free medical checkups, routine blood investigations, X-rays, free treatment for osteoarthritis of knee, Acupuncture and marma therapy for back ache from 9 am to 5 pm at the institute’s premises.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Dr Sathyanarayana B, principal of the Institute, Dr GururajTantry, professor from the Shalyatantra and department. Dr Pramod Shet, professor from the Kayachikitsa department, Dr Dinesh Nayak J, Dr Shubha M, Dr Ravishankar Shenoy, Dr Preeti Patil, Dr Ramesh P Dr Rashmi Kalkura K, Dr Meghashree and Dr Akshitha Y were joined the inaugural ceremony. The dignitaries marked the occasion by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The general public is encouraged to take advantage of this specialized Ayurvedic care to address chronic pain conditions and improve their quality of life.
