Mangaluru, Jan 16: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organised Chess tournament on Jan 15 in their campus at Hamapankata. The Chess tournament was organised for the students of BBA (aviation and logistics management), BBA (aviation management) and MBA (aviation management). The tournament featured over 18 participants competing across multiple rounds which intend provided an engaging platform for participants to test their skills and sharpen their minds.

The winner of the Chess tournament was Pradeep Kumar I Year BBA (aviation management), the second prize was bagged by Mohammad Riyan II Year BBA (aviation and logistics management) and the third place was taken by Suhaf Abdul Kadheer III-year BBA (aviation and logistics management).

The event was coordinated by Bhagyashri, sports and NSS coordinator, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University and Aishwarya Shetty, faculty, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University. Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University and Anjana TV, HOD, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University provided their expert guidance throughout the tournament.

The chess tournament at the Institute of Aviation Studies exemplified the institute's dedication to blending academic excellence with extracurricular activities, fostering well-rounded students ready to tackle challenges both in academics and beyond.
