Mangaluru, Sep 19: Lourdes Central School celebrated Hindi Week from September 2 to 6, bringing together students of classes 1 to 10, for various literary activities and competitions to promote language proficiency and showcase their abilities in Hindi Language.
Class 1 and 2 students in poetry recitation activity, while classes 3 to 5 participated in story telling competition. Classes 6 and 8 had group activity in poetry writing and class 7 in mono acting. To encourage the creative writing and original thinking, classes 9and 10 had Hindi article writing activity.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated on September 14 marking 75th anniversary of Adopting Hindi as the official language of India. LCS also celebrated the day with a ‘Nukkad Natak' presented by class 9 students, portraying the significance of Hindi Language.
The week concluded with an award ceremony, where the winners of the competitions were honoured for their achievements.
