Let’s take chances,” said Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, principal of the college. He expressed these views while presiding over the second phase of the Faculty Development Series Program on July 9 at the PG Seminar Hall of the College on “Preparation for Transition from Affiliated Institution to Autonomous Institution.”
Geeta Poornima K, assistant professor in the Computer Science Department, provided information about the scope and functioning of the administrative and academic departments of the autonomous college. Abhishek Suvarna, assistant professor of the Department of Business Administration, gave insights into examination processes and proceedings. Dr Edwin D’Souza, assistant professor of the Chemistry Department, explained the scope, responsibilities, and functioning of the finance department of the autonomous college. Vinayachandra, the head of the Computer Science Department, acted as the moderator.
Dr Edwin D’Souza, coordinator of the staff development and appraisal cell, extended a warm welcome to the participants. Suraksha S, lecturer in the Department of Computer Science, proposed a vote of thanks. The vice-principal of the college, Dr Vijaya Kumar Moleyar and IQAC coordinator, Dr Malini K was also present at the event.
