Panaji, Apr 20: On the occasion of Easter, governor P S Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and Archbishop of Goa and Daman, Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao, extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Goa, especially the Christian community.

Governor Pillai highlighted the deeper meaning of Easter, calling it "the eternal hope and foundation of Christian life." He said, “Easter gives us the valuable message of brotherhood, love, compassion, and forgiveness.”

Chief Minister Sawant described Easter as a “divine symbol of victory over death and darkness” and urged people to follow their conscience and work for the welfare of others. “Let us pledge to empower and inspire those around us,” he said.

Cardinal Ferrao called Easter a time to “build a society offering hope, support, and newness of life to every being, especially those in need.” He emphasized that Christ’s resurrection offers life beyond the tomb, a message of hope for all creation.

The leaders united in their Easter messages, urging Goans to reflect on the values of compassion, unity, and renewal.
