Sancoale, Apr 18: Two Shiva Lingas were discovered in a Khazan water body at Sancoale on Wednesday morning, triggering immediate interest from the Archeology Department. The unexpected find was made by labourers from a nearby service station who had ventured to the area for defecation and noticed the stone structures submerged under water.

After retrieving and cleaning the artifacts, the workers alerted local residents, who in turn informed the Archeology department. Officials arrived at the spot, examined the Lingas, and took them into their custody for further study.

An investigation is now underway to ascertain the age, origin, and historical value of the Lingas. The discovery has stirred local curiosity, with residents speculating that the site may have ties to ancient religious practices or settlements.
