Mangaluru: St Ann's PU College celebrates Green Day

Mangaluru, Jul 6: The Green Day at St Ann's PU College was organised by the students of class II EBAC under the guidance of Reshma, in the college auditorium with great enthusiasm and participation. The event aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and highlight the importance of maintaining a green and clean environment.

The programme began with a solemn prayer, followed by a vibrant and graceful welcome dance.

A skit on afforestation, was the highlight of the programme. The students performed with great zeal, effectively conveying the critical message of planting trees and preserving forests. The performance was both educational and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The principal, Sr Rachana AC, was invited to the stage and as a symbol of the college’s commitment to maintaining a green and clean environment, Tawwab, along with his team, presented Sr with a plant, representing a collective pledge by the students and staff to take actionable steps towards environmental conservation and sustainability.

The principal, in her address, expressed her appreciation for the efforts put in by the students of II EBAC for their performance and highlighted the importance of environmental awareness and encouraged everyone to plant at least one sapling in their house and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Najeeb
