Udupi, Mar 3: Beneficiaries allocated accommodation are encouraged to make use of the provided facilities, stated District Commissioner Dr. K Vidyakumari.

Chief minister Siddaramaiah virtually inaugurated 240 government housing complexes in the Herga Saralebettu area under the Municipal Council.

DC Dr K Vidyakumari mentioned, "These 240 government accommodation complexes were successfully constructed under the grants from the Central and State governments and the Municipal Council in the Herga Area. The houses are already allotted, and the public should take advantage of it. Everyone has their dreams of building their own house, and for this, the government is starting to implement many schemes."

"The government aims to construct 1,80,000 houses across the state. The Chief Minister has already inaugurated the construction of 36,000 houses, benefiting more people," she added.

Concrete roads will replace the existing road leading to the government accommodation complexes. The residents have requested the provision of streetlights, playgrounds, parks, Anganwadi centers, and other facilities.

Municipal Council members Vijayalakshmi, Amrita Krishnamurthy, CMC commissioner Rayappa, assistant executive engineer Prasanna Kumar, and others were present. Executive engineer Rangaiah Badigere welcomed the gathering, and Vijay Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.
