Udupi, Mar 18: “Annual state level inter- collegiate techno- cultural fest 'Varnothsava 2023', will be held at Shri madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management (SMVITM), Bantakal, Udupi on March 23,” said Rathnakumar, secretary Sode Vadiraj Math education trust.
Addressing the press meet Rathnakumar said, “As part of the fest there will be events like dance, singing, photography, drawing and others along with the technical competitions. Students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi’s engineering colleges will be participating in the event."
The events carry attractive prizes worth more than Rs 2 lac. Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Shri Sode Vadhiraja Math will inaugurate the fest. Alumni Rahul V Kotian, managing director Anikrithi Engineering Pvt Ltd and Pebble Grey Design Studio, Bengaluru will be chief guest and Nikhil Acharya, senior product designer, Aspire FT, Singapore will be guest of honour. GC member Jagadish Acharya, CEO, Paints and skill council and former chief executive officer, PPG Asian paints will distribute the prizes during the valedictory programme.
“The 13th annual day celebration of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology & Management, Bantakal will be held in the institute premises on Friday, March 24. The formal function will be blessed by the presence of Paramapoojya Shri Vidyasrisa Tirtha Swamiji of Sri Vyasaraja Matha, Sosale. Justice K N Phaneendra, Upalokayukta, Karnataka will be the chief guest of the function. The president of Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust Paramapoojya Shri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji will preside over the function. The ninth graduation ceremony of Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Bantakal will be held in the institute premises on Sunday, March 26. Dr S Vidyashankar, vice chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi will be the chief guest, Prashanth Shenoy Katpady, co- founder/CTO Unicourt- Mangaluru will be the guest of honour for this ceremony. An alumni meet will also be held in the institute on the same day,” he said.
On March 26 evening AGAM, a famous music band, will be showcasing a performance in the college premises.
“We are going to start an MBA programme next academic year 2023 in our institute. As a first step, we are organizing a unique management development program (MDP) on April 6- 7 for industry experts who are involved in import / export business. This MDP will give good mileage to our institute as well,” Rathnakumar added.
Prof Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal programme co-coordinators Raviprabha and Sachin Prabhu, student welfare officer Dr C K Manjunath were present during the press meet.
