Mangaluru: Grandparents Day celebrated at Ryan International School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Oct 22: The adorable bond between the grandparents and the students of Ryan International School- Mangalore was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm on Grandparents Day.

A string of soul-stirring praise and worship songs accompanied by the dance of the students set the tone for the celebration.

In different Indian languages, students extended warm welcome to the grandparents. An enthralling dance performance by the students left the grandparents spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized. It was a beautiful sight to see grandparents dancing with their grandchildren to the songs of yesteryear.

Zealous participation of the grandparents in all the fun-filled activities and games was witnessed. The grandparents were visibly moved when their grandchildren shared with them beautifully crafted thank-you cards , pop-up greeting cards and thoughtfully penned poems expressing their love and gratitude.

The students made their grandparents nostalgic by gifting them posters on their ancestry .

Overwhelmed with emotion, the grandparents thanked the school for giving a value-based education to their grandchildren and recognising the grandparents as the greatest storytellers and keepers of our customs and traditions.

Mentored by the chairman of the school Dr A F Pinto and the managing director madam Dr Grace Pinto, Ryan International School, Mangaluru holds such celebrations to instil the value of respect for the elderly and to meaningfully engage the parents, the grandparents, the students, and the teachers for the holistic development of the students.
