Amman, Apr 24: On Day?5 of the Asian U 15 Boxing Championships in Amman, India’s young pugilists stamped their authority with commanding wins, sending three boys and two girls into the semi finals.
In the boys’ draw, 55 kg contender Nelson Khwairakpam needed just one round to overwhelm Chinese Taipei’s Wang Sheng Yang, earning an RSC victory. Abhijeet (61kg) and Lakshay Phogat (64kg) followed suit, each cruising to unanimous 5–0 decisions over foes from Kyrgyzstan and Jordan, respectively.

On the girls’ side, 52 kg standout Princi dazzled, shutting out Ukraine’s Yeva?Kubanova by 5–0. Meanwhile, Samruddhi Satish?Shinde (55 kg) bulldozed her way to victory when the referee halted her bout against Ukraine’s Kseniia Savina in the third round.
Earlier on Day?4, Rudraksh Singh?Khaidem (46 kg) kicked off India’s flawless run with a 3–0 win over Kyrgyzstan’s Aidar Musaev. Across both genders, all six Indians in the ring advanced to the last four, underlining the team’s dominant form in Jordan.
