Mangalore, Feb 10: A speeding ambulance knocked down a Forest Official and killed him on the spot at Ichlampady on NH48 here on Thursday February 10.
The Forester Mr Prabhakar was patrolling on the highway last night. The ambulance driver who tried to abscond was later caught at the Gundia check post.
The ambulance was not carrying any patient at that time. A Case has been registered in Puttur Traffic police and investigations are on.
