Puttur: Inauguration of Court Complex, Legal Clinic, Tomorrow

Puttur, Feb 4: The inaugural of the second phase of the court complex here, and legal clinic, will be inaugurated in the court premises on Saturday February 5. This was informed at a press conference held here on Thursday February 3.

The inaugural will be presided over by local MLA, Mallika Prasad. Judge of the state High Court and administrative judge for district courts of Dakshina Kannada district, Justice H N Nagamohan Das, will inaugurate the clinic and the building. Ministers, Krishna J Palemar, C M Udasi, Shobha Karandlaje and S Suresh Kumar, High Court judge, Justice B V Pinto, additional advocate general, K M Nataraj, and MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, will participate as chief guests.

In the second phase of the court complex, which has been completed at a cost of Rs 75 lac, four courts, including fast track court, magistrate court, junior and senior division civil courts, will function. Speaking to reporters, president of Puttur Bar Association, Mahesh Kaje, said that a grant of Rs 1.35 crore has been sanctioned for the court complex, repair of residential quarters of judges, hall, modernization of judges rooms and other such things.

Office bearers of the Bar Association, Devanand K, Aravind Bhandary, Mamata Suvarna, and Jagannath Rai were present at the press conference.
