Udupi, Jan 13: At present, buses moving to the town from Kundapur and other places to the north, have been reaching the service bus stand here through Karavali Circle, Bannanje and Shiribeedu. This has been creating hardships for the passengers who want to visit district hospital, Ambalpady temple, other hospitals, district treasury, taluk office, office of the circle inspector, courts and such other important spots, which lie on the other side of the town.
For the convenience of the passengers, deputy commissioner of the district, P Hemalata, has issued an order, affecting the following changes in the routes of buses coming from the direction of Kundarpur and Brahmavar to the town.
All the city and express buses coming into the town from the direction of Kundapur have to take left turn at Ambalpady Circle and reach service bus stand via Brahmagiri Circle, Ajjarkad, Jodukatte, taluk office, and K M Marg. Buses leaving the town towards Kundapur have to move via Hotel Kediyoor, Bannanje Road, and Karavali Junction. City buses going towards Kundapur from here have to go from in front of Tourist Hotel, Hanuman Junction, K M Marg, taluk office, Jodukatte, Ajjarkad, Brahmagiri Circle, and Ambalpady Circle. City buses going to Malpe and Kallianpur Santekatte are required to move via Bannaje Road and Karavali Circle. Buses coming in from Malpe and Santekatte Kallianpur have to move via Karavali Circle, Ambalpady Circle, Brahmagiri Circle and taluk office.
