Eighth Mangaluru Kambala to be held on Dec 28 at Goldfinch City

Mangaluru, Dec 26: Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta announced at a press conference that the eighth Mangaluru Kambala will take place from 8:30 am on December 28 to 8 am on December 29 at Goldfinch City.

The event will be held under the honorary presidentship of Dr K Prakash Shetty, chairman of MRG Group, who has supported the Kambala for the past seven years.

A stage programme will be conducted at 6 pm on Saturday, December 28, followed by the prize distribution in the morning on Sunday, December 29.

Chowta further shared, “A Colour Koota drawing competition will be organized to engage young minds in our tradition. Children aged six and above can participate in three categories. All participants will receive mementos and attractive prizes. We hope to inspire children to represent the traditions of Tulunadu through their art and become ambassadors of our cultural heritage.”

Eshwar Prasad added, “A Reels and Photography contest is also being held to bring Kambala celebrations to the next generation. The stage programme at 6:30 pm will feature achievers, seniors, and eminent guests from various fields, including religion, education, politics, sports, and entertainment. The event will conclude the next morning with a prize distribution ceremony.”

The press conference was attended by Sujit Pratap Mangalpady, Chief Secretary of the Mangaluru Kambala Committee, along with conveners Santhyaguthu Sachin Shetty, Kiran Kodikal, Prasad Kumar Shetty, Sukumar Shetty, and Vijayakumar.
