GENEVA, Sep 18( Kuwait Times): Kuwait, on the level of the executive and legislative authorities as well as other entities, would focus on developing the country's economic and financial hemispheres to meet the demands of gaining global economic recognition, said a Kuwaiti lawmaker here yesterday.
Speaking to KUNA, Ali Al-Omair said that the participation of members of government entities as well as parliaments representatives in the World Trade Organization's (WTO) Public Forum was very important due to the current occurrences within the global economic framework which required those involved in policy making to be part of the economic, financial formula.
He noted that the forum focused on measures that would prevent the world from repeating the global recession, adding that discussions also touched on economic procedures to counter climatic shifts and environmental happenings which could also result in crises.
Protecting the environment within the circle of making economic and financial benefits was also a key issue in the forum, stated Al-Omair who also noted that fair trade and balance between supply and demand were also touched upon.
