Bahrain: DKSC Holds Iftar Party

Bahrain, Aug 31: Dakshina Karnataka Sunni Centre (DKSC), here hosted Iftar party for their members and friends at Anarth Hall at Hoora here, recently.

Over 400 people gathered for Iftar. President Vittal Jamaluddin welcomed Dr Cheriyan, chairman of CCIA and John Abraham Chairman of Indian School among others.

Bahrain-based Muslim scholar Sayyad Fakruddin Thangal addressed the gathering and explained the importance of Ramadan month and Dua. He also informed that during Ramadan the Muslim community pray and sacrifice during day time to be close with the God.

During the party UMRA package offered to one lucky winner among the gathering and accordingly Riyaz was the winner, who is also the member of DKSC.

Abbas Uchil, general secretary, Abdul Sattar, treasurer and Mohammad Seedi, chief advisor were present. Majeed Saadi conducted the programme.

DKSC, Bahrain was formed in 2002 with few Muslim youth and now the strength is over 500 members. DKSC organization is also formed in Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka, India and was formed by some of the Sunni brothers in 1995 as an everlasting solution to the community by having educational institution that are beacon of knowledge, resort for orphans and destitutes the society.
