Karkala, Dec 10: Sourabh D Nambiar, a final year student from the department of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT started a startup company by the name ‘Chipher-10 Infinity Industries Pvt Ltd’ during his project work at the institute.
Nambiar received a funding of Rs 2.5 lac from DST (Department of Science and Technology) under Nidhi scheme to develop a prototype to harness renewable sources of energy.
He had participated in the Himalayan flagship event held at IIT Mandi and secured first place for his prototype. He also received sponsorship from IIT Mandi to start a full-fledged startup industry. This is considered to be a notable achievement in the area of renewable sources of energy.
