Mumbai, Nov 28: United Human Rights Foundation held a programme at Rajbhavan, Malabar Hill on November 27 to felicitate corona warriors. Maharashtra governor, Bhagath Singh Koshyari presented the Janaseva Sadbhavan award to well-known Konkani Karnataka based social worker, Dr Rajani Vinayak Pai and congratulated her on the occasion.
Rajani Pai is identified for her uninterrupted selfless service during the campaign against the coronavirus pandemic that spread in the country. Human Rights Federation founder and executive president, Prabha Kiran appreciated her service and congratulated her. The governor also felicitated a few more persons for their social work.
Dr Rajani V Pai is a resident of Mulund, here, and has indulged in a variety of social work for the welfare of local poor dalits and women. She had distributed large amount of food when people were in distress during the pandemic. She always helps cancer patients and other patients.
Dr Rajani V Pai hails from Siddapur Siddi clan of Uttar Kannada district and is the president of Mumbai Kannada Sangha Matunga ladies wing. She has received an honorary doctorate for social work, Karnataka Vikas Ratna award, Saurabha Ratna award, Bengaluru Ratna award, Kriyasheela Kannadati title, international golden achievement award and Vishwamanya Kannadiga awards in the past.
