Mangaluru, Nov 23: Shekar P, a research student of St Aloysius Advanced Research Centre, here has been awarded PhD in Economics for his thesis on 'New Technology and Labour Utilisation in Agriculture: An Empirical Study in Ramanagara District in Karnataka State' by Tumkur University.

He was successfully guided by Dr Norbert Lobo, head of the department of Economics of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), in the city.
