Kuwait: Sunil Menezes is New President of Piusnagar Welfare Committee by Vinay Martis & Rahul Menezes
Kuwait, Feb 28: Piusnagar Welfare Committee Kuwait (PWCK) organized its first annual family gathering at Mishref Garden on Friday February 26.
Around 40 PWCK members, including a few guests, attended the picnic which started at 11.30 am with prayer by Saritha Quadras. Outgoing president Ramy Fernandes welcomed everyone.
The event started with a breakfast featuring Manglorean specialities. A number of games for children and adults were organized throughout the day.
After all the team games, there was a lunch break for an hour with prayer by Freeda D’Costa. Soon after, the housie-housie game started for all family members.
The annual PWCK report was read by the outgoing president after which prizes were distributed to all the winners.
Then the new office-bearers were elected for the year 2010-11. The new committee consists of Sunil Menezes (president), Praveen Menezes(vice-president), Saritha Quadras (secretary), and Naveen Lasrado (treasurer). The election was conducted by former president Richard Menezes.
Roshan Quadras proposed the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all the members who attended the picnic and all the sponsors.
Nice to see so many of our parishners having a good time in Kuwait.People whom we saw once in two years or once a year are together in a foreign country. All the Best to Sunil Menezes and his team .Roshan : You should ve done a skit :)
This is nice to see our parishners get together in Kuwait, looks lot of our parishners in Kuwait, as I left native place around 30years back, I can regcognise very few, like Remmy, Richard, Sunil, Praveen, Roshan. Your dedication we saw during our Church, renovation. All the best for the new office bearers, Sunil Menezes and Team.
