Bengaluru, Jul 2: The SSLC students from the state have finished their fifth examination, social science, on Wednesday. They have to appear for one more examination after a three-day gap.
At the end of the examination on July 1, 32 students have suffered from coronavirus infection, the education department stated. There are claims that some of the coronavirus positive students have been continuing to appear for the examinations. As many as 3,363 SSLC students from containment zones and 613 students exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms were made to appear for their examination in separate rooms.

As the number of corona infected students rose, 31 examination centres were removed from containment zones, said primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar. He said that social science examination was held in a safe environment all over the state and that he had visited 13 examination centres in Ramanagara, Kanakapura and Channapatna and that he was satisfied with the arrangements made at the centres.
