Bengaluru, May 12 (IANS): After a lull on Monday, coronavirus positive cases in Karnataka spiked again to breach the 900-mark to settle at 925 with 63 new cases, an official said on Tuesday.
"As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, cumulatively 925 Covid positive cases have been confirmed in the state. These include 31 deaths and 433 discharges," said a health official.
Seven patients were discharged, six in Bagalkote and one in Vijayapura.
Of the 460 active cases, 449 patients are in isolation at designated hospitals and are stable while 11 are in ICU.

A total of 63 more such cases were reported in the sourthern state in the past 24 hours. Fifty-one of the new patients are men and 12 women.
Of the new cases, Bagalkote contributed 15, followed by Davangere (12), Dharwad (9), Hassan and Kolar (5 each), Bengaluru Urban (4), Gadag (3), Yadagiri, Bidar and Dakshina Kannada (2 each), and Mandya, Ballari, Kalaburagi and Chakkaballapura (1 each).
Eighteen of the new cases were contacts of earlier cases.
Only nine new patients were above the age of 50. Seventeen others are aged below 20.
Cases spiked in Bagalkote and Dharwad as all cases reported from these two places have a travel history to Ahmedabad in Gujarat, a Covid hotspot.
A 55-year-old man from Bagalkote is suffering from Influenza-like illness (ILI).
Yadagiri, a northeastern district with no case until Monday, reported two cases, getting into the green zone for the first time.
Both cases had a travel history to Ahmedabad.
Likewise, Hassan, another place with no positive cases until Monday, reported five cases to get into the green zone status.
All five cases from Hassan have a travel history to Mumbai in Maharashtra, India's biggest Covid hotspot, including two girls below 7 from Hassan who tested corona positive.
Similarly, Kolar, one more place without a case till Monday has recorded five cases, and entered the green zone.
Gadag also did not have a case till Monday but reported three on Tuesday.
The number of districts without a Covid case has been reduced to five -- Raichur, Koppal, Chikkamagaluru, Chamarajanagara and Ramanagara.
