Dubai, May 8: The first flight handling the evacuation operation from Dubai to Mangaluru which was supposed to reach Mangaluru on May 12 has been rescheduled to May 14 now.
According to Air India Mangaluru sources, the flight will take off from Dubai at 16.10 UAE time to reach Mangaluru at 9.10 pm IST on May 14.
It is not confirmed whether the flight will run to full capacity or will arrange seating to maintain social distancing.
As reported earlier, priority will be given to pregnant women and above and people with medical emergency. Passengers from Mangaluru will be quarantined in Mangaluru while passengers from other districts like Udupi and Kasargod will be sent to their respective places where they will be quarantined.
Sources also said that hotels, institutions among others are booked as quarantine facility for passengers coming from abroad to Mangaluru.
