Beltangady, May 8: The mortal remains of Vimalesh (22), son of the late Tukaram and Vinutha couple from Laila in the taluk was found lying on railway tracks at Hosur recently. Tukaram was working as sub-inspector in excise department in the past.
On account of lockdown problems, funeral was performed at Hosur, it is learnt.
Vimalesh was working for Rajashree Automotive Industries Pvt Ltd at Hosur. He was staying in a rented house there. A few days back, Vimalesh's mobile phone was suddenly found to have been switched off. His mother, who was worried, met Beltangady police sub-inspector Nandakumar, and informed him about her plight. She also surmised that her son might be facing financial difficulties. Nandakumar got in touch with Hosur police station after which Vimalesh called his mother.

However, thereafter, the police station here got information about the recovery of Vimalesh's dead body on the railway tracks at Hosur. The identity was established on the basis of SIM card after which the parents were contacted.
Passes were arranged for four persons to travel to Hosur to perform the last rites. Investigation into this death is continuing.
