Mangaluru, May 4: It is learnt that many patients who need emergency surgical procedures or treatment are now under compulsion to wait till the result of their throat swab sample is received.
The people having acute pain in any part of the body normally suffer from fever. But people with fever are under compulsion to get admitted into COVID hospital and get themselves tested for corona. The doctors, even when they are aware that the fever is not related to coronavirus infection, prefer to play safe and wait till the patient is tested. Because if treatment is continued and if the patient proves to be coronavirus positive, the disease would have spread to others and the doctors and hospital concerned can run the risk of being sued for doing so.
