Mangaluru, Apr 22: Mangaluru city police led by commissioner Dr P S Harsha organized a honour convoy at Wenlock COVID block on Wednesday, April 22, as mark of respect for the doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulance drivers, lab technicians among others of Wenlock COVID Hospital.
Close to 20 convoy vehicles took part in this honouring ceremony that saluted all the doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulance drivers, and lab technicians.
As the vehicles moved around and saluted the brave hearts who have been selflessly serving the people at this critical juncture, the doctors and others involved with treating coronavirus patients and suspects had reason to feel a sense of fulfilment and pride at being involved with such a noble task. The police were clear in sending the message across that no amount of appreciation is enough to express gratefulness for these persons who are ready to take risks to serve the people and save lives.
Superintendent of police Laxmi Prasad, deputy commissioner of police Arunagshugiri, deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Sindhu P Rupesh, MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar, zilla panchayat chief executive officer Dr Selvamani, district health officer Dr Ramachandra Bayari and others were present.
