Dubai, Apr 13: Karnataka NRI (KNRI) Forum of India has written to MP and BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel to help non-resident Indians in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to return to their motherland.
Praveen Kumar Shetty, president, and Prabhaker Ambalatare, chief secretary of the forum in a letter dated April 13 stated that nearly one lac non-resident Kannadigas in the UAE are facing several problems due coronavirus pandemic. They stated that Kannadigas are suffering due to health problems and unemployment and facing hardships to live. “The situation will be all problematic without medical help if the situation continues. Therefore, we request you to arrange flights to help us return home,” they stated in the letter.

“Karnataka NRI forum and non-resident entrepreneur donors assure our complete cooperation to provide facilities of 14 days quarantine for non-resident Kannadigas returning from UAE,” they stated.
