Mangaluru, Mar 31: Has Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) here bungled up things in their hurry to make it convenient for the citizens, is a question that is lingering in the minders of many.
The city corporation has laid out chairs near the market for the people waiting to buy things. The people in the queue keep shifting from the current chair to the next as the queue moves. As the same chairs are used by multiple people, the infection might get passed on to many even if one in the crowd is infected.
Several people were seen pointing out at this blunder, and opting to stand in the line instead of seeking the comfort of sitting in the chairs.
People of the city are also seen forming queues in front of shops dealing in meat. People are seen hankering to buy chicken and mutton. The market at Mallikatte is a major source for meat sale. As the people did not get to buy meat since the last three days, they have been vying with each other to buy it today.
People are compelled to buy meat as they are not getting fish in the market as fishing activity has completely stopped.
