Kundapur, Mar 27: Police and health department are working in tandem along with the government to bring the dreaded coronavirus infection under control. Media is also striving hard to create awareness about the disease and lockdown measure among public. These people, who work round the clock are deprived of food and drinking water. However, renowned hotel of the city Parijatha is doing humanitarian work of providing food to these people.
Hotel Parijatha is a renowned hotel in the city that is functioning since 50 years. It is providing food to police, doctors and media, who are in the forefront of fighting the coronavirus pandemic. It is distributing more than 250 packets of food including breakfast, fruits, biscuits and water every day.
Ganesh Bhat, son of owner of the hotel Ramachandra Bhat is doing this humanitarian work. He is supplying free food to police stations located at Kundapur, Shankaranarayana, Amasebailu, Kandlur, Kollur, Byndoor and Gangolli three times a day. Five vehicles are being used for this purpose.
A team of 15 people is involved in this noble deed of Ganesh Bhat. Four expert chefs prepare the food in hygienic conditions. The food is packed in extremely safe to consume packets.
In addition, the hotel also provides free food for anyone who is seen suffering without food due to the lockdown. They also supply free food to migrant labourers who are out of work because of the lockdown. The team also searches for beggars and provides them food.
The service done to the society by Hotel Parijatha during this extreme situation in the country is really appreciated by each and every one.
