He said that this was an attempt to kill him by making sure that his car met with an accident.
"After the discourse on that day, at 10.10 pm, I started back to Kasargod in my car with driver Saif. At 10.30 pm, we reached Nanthoor Junction, where we found that the rear side tyre had punctured. We changed the tyre immediately. An unidentified person, who came that way in a motor bike, spoke to us. We continued our journey thereafter. When we approached the concerned to get the punctured tyre fixed on February 10, we came to know that sharp iron piece had got stuck into the tyre," he explained.

He said that he also has been requesting people to maintain peace relating to National Register of Citizens. "I had filed complaint in Urwa police station about a television channel from Kasagod of having transmitted recording of one of my discourses by twisting it. Later, there has always been a suspicion that some strangers were lurking me," he said.
The Qazi said that arrangements were made to see that the sharp iron object was got stuck into the tyre of his car in order to murder him.
