Karkala: Fire breaks out near Parashurama Theme Park

Karkala, Feb 25: A fire broke out near the Parashurama Theme Park in Bailoor on February 24.

The fire was triggered by a short circuit after a coconut tree fell on an electric pole along the main road.

Upon receiving the information, personnel from the Karkala fire and rescue department rushed to the spot and successfully brought the fire under control.

As the fire started at the base of the hill, it spread around the surrounding area.

Assistant fire station officer Chandrashekhar, along with personnel Rupesh, driver Sanjay, Muzambil, and Bheemappa, were part of the firefighting operation.

    Hats off to the firefighters. In India too fire safety department should train volunteers in fire fighting and allow them to join the team voluntarily in case of emergencies. This could be very helpful in some emergencies.
