Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 25: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday urged officials to work towards making Kerala a ‘zero corruption state’ and issued a stern warning against malpractices.
Addressing government officials, Vijayan said Kerala has already earned the distinction of being the least corrupt state in the country. However, he stressed that the state should not remain complacent but should aim for complete eradication of corruption.

"Our firm stance against corruption has made Kerala the least corrupt state in India. But we should not stop here we must strive to become a zero-corruption state," he asserted.
The CM pointed out that the wrongdoings of a few officials bring disrepute to entire departments. He warned against bureaucratic delays, stating that making people visit offices multiple times for a resolution leads to public dissatisfaction.
"When an officer indulges in such practices, it damages the department’s reputation and affects even those who work honestly," he noted.
Vijayan lauded the revenue department for Kerala’s remarkable improvement in revenue collection and urged officials to facilitate investment in the state.
"You have all contributed to this progress. We need to attract more investments—every business, big or small, plays a crucial role in strengthening Kerala’s financial health," he remarked.
