Belagavi, Feb 27: Nalin Kumar Kateel, state BJP president and MP, has accused Congress of instigating Delhi riots that has taken 27 lives so far.
Speaking to media at the tourist bungalow of Chikkodi town in the district, Nalin further said, "Congress in playing 'Fire Politics' in the country. Whenever Congress loses power it creates disturbances and violence in the country. When it is in power, it murders democracy.
"We have seen horrific massacres during the Congress rule. Congress leaders should keep in mind various timelines, including the serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, before accusing others.
Why the riots were started during the visit of USA president Donald Trump to the country? This simply means that the Congress wanted to tarnish the image of Modi and BJP. Otherwise, from where arms and pistols will appear in the hands of youth of Delhi?” he questioned.
When the scribes questioned Kateel about the warning given by BJP national president J P Nadda to MLA Umesh Katti over the phone, Nalin just said that he is not aware of that matter.
