Bengaluru, Oct 19: In an order that is taken out by the city joint police commissioner of traffic Dr B R Ravikante Gowda, police personnel will also be dealt with severely if they violate the traffic rules.

A question was raised on public forum and social media that action is being taken by the traffic police if a commoner violates the traffic rules but the traffic as well as other police personnel blatantly violate the traffic rules and they are not held accountable for their actions.

In the order that is taken out by the joint police commissioner it is said that stringent action should be taken against the drivers of government vehicles as well as the police personnel if they do not follow traffic rules.

Dr B R Ravikante Gowda warned and said, "The drivers of government vehicles, especially the drivers of police department vehicles should drive their vehicles in a responsible manner. Public always watches the movement of police vehicles. In addition, they immediately take video or photo of the traffic or any other kind of violation done by the police personnel or vehicle drivers and share it on social media."

"We also receive complaints from the public through E-mail, Public Eye Application and WhatsApp about the bad behaviour of the police vehicle drivers. So if the drivers of government vehicles including police department vehicles will have to face action if they do not follow traffic rules," said Dr B R Ravikante Gowda.
