Moodbidri, Aug 7: July is a busy month of planting saplings, thereby marking the festival of trees. Holy Rosary High school celebrated Vanamahotsava in a meaningful manner.
Dr Mahaveer Jain, president of Rotary Club, Temple Town, here, was chief guest. Addressing the students, he highlighted the need to love nature and significance of Vanamahotsava.
Balika Jain, lecturer in Hindi at Holy Rosary PU College, spoke on the role of students to conserve the environment.
The headmistress, Sr Thelma Dora D'Souza presided over the programme.
The Eco Club put up a thought provoking cultural programme. Reshma directed the students. The programme met its objective when the saplings were planted and fenced.
