Mangaluru, Jul 31: A valedictory of 3 day workshop on ‘Industrial automation and application of IoT’ was held on July 27 in Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil. Johnson Tellis, director, Sahyadri hub for innovations and entrepreneurship, was the chief guest. The function was presided over by Dr Shivakumar G S, Vice Principal and HOD of computer science and engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology.
Johnson Tellis, in his address, told the participants to follow their dreams and to keep three principles in mind, ‘write a vision statement’, ‘define what success means to you’, ‘keep five people who contribute to your successes’. Also he urged them to use IoT concepts in developing innovative technologies in agricultural sector.
Dr Shivakumar GS, congratulated the organising members of the workshop and also quoted that the engineering field is now becoming interdisciplinary, and emphasised the need of teaching learning process beyond the syllabus. Dr Shankar KS, HOD of marine engineering & convenor briefed about the 3 day workshop programme.
Coordinators of the workshop Prof Nithin Joshuva, welcomed the delegates and Prof Chandra Jogi proposed the vote of thanks. Master of ceremony was done by Prof Vivek Vijay Kumar.
