Yenepoya Institute of Technology Moodbidri welcomes fresh BE batch

Moodbidri, Jul 29: The inauguration of BE programme for 2019-20 batch of students was held at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri on Monday July 29.

Vinod Kumar T V, chief operating officer, Impelsys India Pvt Ltd Bengaluru was the chief guest and inaugurated the academic year by lighting the lamp along with, Yenepoya Abdulla Javeed, director operations, Yenepoya Group, Mangaluru and Dr R G D’Souza, principal.

In his inaugural speech, Vinod Kumar T V said, “Technology has made life easy for all of us, but the question to be asked is are we using this technology in the right direction?” He suggested to the students to use technology judiciously in all aspects. He also asked the students to take some time to zero in to decide what they want to become in life. He advised all the students to pick up skills of coding irrespective of branch of engineering.



In his presidential address, Yenepoya Abdulla Javeed said, “Education you choose today will shape your future”. He asked the students to be creative and socially competent.

Welcoming the newcomers, principal, Dr R G D’Souza said, "We at Yenepoya Institute of Technology are happy to welcome this new batch along with their parents. We are thankful to you for selecting YIT for your studies. We will definitely provide you a wonderful study atmosphere. YIT not only focuses on studies, but the academic curriculum also gives value-based education which is helpful for every student’s personal growth.

Dr Nagaraj P, head of the department of Chemistry introduced the chief guest. Dr Santhosha Acharya, head of the department of Physics rendered the vote of thanks. Prof Sashma C H compered the programme.
