Kuwait, Jul 17: The visas of 28 victims of job fraud, who are currently stranded in Kuwait, have been cancelled. Sibi US, second secretary, Embassy of India, handed over the passports and air tickets to expatriate Manjeshwar Mohandas Kamath on Wednesday, July 17.
With this, the 28 victims can now fly back to India after facing months of ordeal.
Visas of 15 Mangalureans, stranded in Kuwait were cancelled on Tuesday. As many as 19 youths from Mangaluru will board flight on July 17 evening. They will land in Mumbai on July 18 and will travel to Mangaluru via bus.
Many kindhearted people, including Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, have paid for the tickets and other expenses of these victims.
Mohandas Kamath, Raj Bhandary, Madhav Naik and Vijay Fernandes, among some Indian expatriates, took special care and interest in rescuing the youths from the ordeal.
