Mangaluru: St Mary’s English Higher Primary School celebrates Vanamahotsava

Mangaluru, Jul 6: Vanamahotsava celebrations was celebrated on Friday, July 5 at St Mary’s English Higher Primary School.

Selma D’Souza, an old student of St Mary’s and a retired teacher of St Agnes English School was the chief guest on this occasion. The student enacted and stressed on the importance of growing and nurturing the plants in their environment.

The chief guest Selma D’Souza in her message expressed the importance of growing a sapling by every individual to inculcate the skill and joy of growing plants in their own home. She also said that Growth is the way of life. “When a plant gets life it is the joy that the child experiences and this joy should be shared with all their family members,” she said.



As a mark of the celebrations, a few fruit saplings were planted in the school premises in the presence of the headmistress Sr Letitia, chief guest Selma D’Souza, staff members, the cabinet members and guides of the school.

‘Save trees save life’ was the motto of the celebrations.

    St.Mary's one of the best schools in Mangalore. Being a Muslim I am proud that my children's are students of this school at falnir and my children's are part of catholic education board . Catholic education board is one of the best gifts we can gift our children's.
