Mangaluru, May 30: St Aloysius College Higher Primary School Kodialbail, welcomed the students on May 29 for the new academic year. A special assembly was conducted by teachers Grace Menezes and Flavi D’Souza in order to welcome the students after long and rejuvenating summer break for classes I - VII.
The programme began with prayer. The chief guest of the day was Rekha Fernandes, former PTA vice-president. Headmistress Philomena Lewis addressed the gathering with the ways of effective teaching. She motivated the students for happy, prosperous and successful year ahead. She introduced the newly joined teachers Intru Dias and Anandi D’Souza. The assembly concluded with the national anthem.
The classrooms were made attractive well in advance with posters, charts, ribbons and balloons. The students came in enthusiastically and were happy to see the well-decorated classrooms. It was a wonderful beginning and a memorable day not only for the students as they stepped into yet another academic year of schooling but also for the teachers.
