Mangaluru, Mar 26: The graduation ceremony of SCS College of Nursing Sciences was held on March 26 at St Sebastian Platinum Jubliee Hall, Bendoor, here.
The programme began with an invocation song followed by lighting of the lamp by dignitaries on the dais.
The chief guest of the function Sr Janet D’Souza, chief nursing officer, Father Muller Medical College Hospital, here in her addressal to the graduates urged them to render nursing care with love and compassion. She highlighted the importance of head, heart and hands in nursing.
Dr Abhinay Sorake, was the presiding officer of the programme. Swetha Kiran, associate professor, welcomed the gathering. Prof Lolita S M D’Souza, principal, administered the oath to the graduates and presented the annual report of the college.
U K Khalid, administrative officer, Anil Kumar C M, vice principal, were present on the occasion.
The silver jubilee logo of the College of Nursing was unveiled on the occasion.
Leena M Castelino, associate professor, highlighted the significance of the components of the logo. Bibi Augustin, associate professor, compered the programme.
Amitha, lecturer, delivered the vote of thanks.
The cultural events were performed by the nursing students of the college.
