Mangaluru: St Agnes College to hold seminar on AI, Machine Learning on Feb 13

Mangaluru, Feb 9: St Agnes College, here aims to enhance awareness of power and impact of Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Reinforcement Learning on all aspects of society and to promote the importance of these techniques among students of engineering colleges covering Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts.

Towards this, they have launched a seminar on 'Data Analytics, AI, Machine Learning,Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning' which includes live demonstration of autonomous self driving car, Reinforcement AI Agent and more for the faculty and students of Engineering colleges on February 13 from 1.30 pm to 4 pm at the conference hall.

Resource person: Prof Chris Lewis, former vice president, Merrill Lynch, Current Bank of America, New York with experience of 30 years as senior global management (USA, Europe and Asia) in the fortune 100 multinational organizations.

Modern scientific, engineering and business applications are increasingly dependent on data, existing traditional data analysis technologies were not designed for the complexity of the modern world. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Reinforcement Learning has emerged as a new, exciting and fast-paced discipline that explores novel statistical, algorithmic and implementation challenges that emerge in processing, storing and extracting knowledge from large data. This study opens the door for many careers, because training in AI and Machine Learning is essential for many positions in any sector which is highly desirable for information management and decision making process.
