Mangaluru, Jan 28: The 70th Republic Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervour at Expert PU College, Kodialbail.

Speaking after hoisting the national flag, the principal Prof Ramachandra Bhat said, “As we belong to India, we are one. We are all different in many ways; everybody must become strong, hence we have to have the feeling of oneness among us.” He advised the students to work hard and to be prepared for the challenges of life.

Prof Shivaram Prasad, lecturer in Physics recalled the great personalities who sacrificed their lives and their families for the sake of our country which shows how much they loved our country. He further said that we should realize their patriotism and advised the students to be patriotic forever.

Karunakar Balkur, HOD of Kannada department reminded the students, how the country became Republic and of its importance.

Vijieth Nayak and Sathish Kamath, lecturers in Physics, Manoj Shanbhogue K and Niha Fahim Noor, lecturers in Chemistry and Leena Saldanha were present on this occasion. Karunakar Balkur welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
