Bengaluru: Possibility of online CET test from 2019?

Bengaluru, Dec 2: Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is mulling to hold online examination from the academic year of 2019 for Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to professional courses.

All the preparations in this regard are ready. KEA is waiting for the nod from the government to go ahead. Two or three preliminary tests will be given to the students before introducing this model. This online test will be conducted for admissions to engineering, agriculture and animal husbandry science, architecture and other professional courses.

KEA has informed that the software required to conduct the online test is already prepared by the National Informatics Center.

According to the senior officers of the KEA, This proposal is presented to the administrative board and the same will be probably discussed on December 4 in the meeting. KEA is trying since the past two years to conduct online CET examination. If the same gets implemented, then except the verification of records, all other process will take place through online only.
