Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (MS)

Beltangady, Nov 18: A lone tusker was seen walking in the Mritunjaya River at Maikaan Parlaani of Charmady village on Sunday morning around 7 am. The elephant later moved through residential areas before heading towards Hosamata.

The tusker did not damage crops, vehicles, or harm people. However, locals remain fearful as wild elephants frequently visit the area. They are urging the government and forest department to find a permanent solution to this issue.

Forest department officials have visited the area and are conducting further investigations.
