Bengaluru: BJP legislators meet minister Ramesh Jarkiholi - give rise to raised eyebrows

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 1: BJP MLAs, Siddu Savadi and Paranna Munavalli, met minister for municipal administration, Ramesh Jarkiholi, on Friday November 30 and held talks with him. This meeting however provided fodder to rumour mills.

The meeting happened at a time when the media has been repeatedly asserting that minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi, continues to be in touch with BJP leaders.

However, both the legislators, clarified after meeting the minister that they had come to meet him to discuss some issues relating to their home constituencies and they had not touched upon any political matters.

When questioned by media persons, Ramesh Jarkiholi said that he has never deserted the party and will never do so in future. He felt that some self-proclaimed influential Congress leaders have been floating stories about him having compromised his loyalty to Congress, indirectly hinting at D K Shivakumar.

He at the same time, admitted that there had been differences but All India Congress Committee president, Rahul Gandhi, has solved them. "I am not involved with any dissident activities, nor have I moved away from the party. I am in the city since the last two days," he stated.

Water resources minister, D K Shivakumar, said that Ramesh Jarkiholi has been working for Congress since the youth Congress days. "He is a loyal and royal Congressman. There is no need to create controversy on what he said. Do not drag me into this matter. I have no qualms about getting attacked by anyone," he said.
