Puttur, Oct 25: St Philomena PU College will hold the Diamond Trail –Marathon ‘The Green Race’ with the motto, ‘Time to run together is here’ on the auspicious occasion of Diamond Jubilee celebration on November 1. The main aim of this marathon is to create awareness to save earth.

The race is open to all and begins at sharp 7 am. Runners must be above 18 years and should possess medical certificate of fitness and a copy of ID proof like Aadhar card must be submitted on the date of the event. The race will be 21 kms for men and 10 kms for women.

The winners will be honoured with a cash prize of Rs 10,000 for first place, Rs 7,000 for second place and Rs 5,000 for third place with a trophy and certificate in men’s category and in women’s category Rs 5,000 for first place, Rs 3,000 for second place and Rs 2,000 for third place with a trophy and certificate.

Registration for the event will be closed on October 27 at 5:00 pm.
